Forged Products Inspiring Students

ATI Cudahy Operations opened their doors and welcomed ten students from Franklin Public Schools. Students from Saber Manufacturing manufactured over 100 parts to be used in the facility and wanted to see their work in action.

After suiting up in PPE, the students stepped onto the facility floor to see everything from iso-thermal forging and welding to counterblow and drop hammers. A panel of employees shared information about their roles at ATI, representing career paths in training, sales, safety, engineering and leadership.

When asked about the tour, junior Connor Petkovich said "This was a great experience showing us that what we do really matters.”

“Working with Saber Manufacturing has been a rewarding experience for ATI and our industry,” shared Doug Gennrich, Director, Capital Projects and Energy. “We hope we are opening their eyes to all that they can do in this industry and possibly finding the next generation of Proven Performers to work at ATI.”
