Spreading Holiday Cheer

Throughout the holiday season, ATI employees established lasting connections in their local communities.

With 30% of annual giving taking place during the holiday season, ATI employees find this time perfect to give back to the communities in which we work, live, and operate. These successful initiatives and hard work of our employees helped to make this holiday season a joyful one for many.

Like our Specialty Rolled Products teams in Western Pennsylvania and New Bedford, Massachusetts, focusing their efforts on local rehabilitation and revitalization projects. In 2022, employees formed a Community Involvement Committee to purposefully give back in meaningful ways to community organizations in need.

This holiday season, SRP contributed to the following organizations: Thinking of Nikki Foundation, Toys for Tots, ELCA Hunger Appeal, Veterans Helping Hands Fund, Latrobe Community Revitalization Program, Mercy Meals and More, Veterans Leadership Program, Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Westmoreland County Food Bank, 2000 Turkeys, the LeMoyne Community Center, the Olivia Scott Foundation, and the Community Circle Food Pantry.

ATI Forged Products participated in numerous holiday drives, a few of which benefitted local children, ensuring they have presents under the tree and books to read in the new year.

Forged Products employees collected over 500 pounds of items during an in-plant supply drive benefitting the local Humane Society and participated in a local Christmas parade in which they handed out candy and ATI merchandise. Employees also collected a mountain of toys for local non-profit Project Concern.

Like SRP, Forged Products locations also donated to a number of non-profits this season, including: The Racine School District, Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, MACC Fund, Waukesha Parade Memorial, Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative, Royal Family Kids Camp, Milwaukee Rescue Gang, Cudahy DPW Tree Donations, Victory Garden Initiative, and a number of local Little League teams.

Our Specialty Alloy and Components (SA&C) team partnered with both United Way and local businesses in the area to provide needed assistance for the holidays. This year, they raised over $94,000 for United Way through employee participation in fundraising.

SA&C teams also packaged 50,000 meals for five different food insecurity agencies in Linn County, OR. These meals will be distributed to children enrolled in the agencies' "Meals for Home" programs and any other individuals in need of food assistance. Donations of 11,340 books were also made to 20 Elementary Schools in the area, correlating to six books for each first and second grader. General community donations were collected as well, totaling to 996 personal hygiene items, 578 toys, and 259 clothing items for those in need of such resources.

Generally, SA&C employees have selected three agencies to focus their giving: a local fire department, to which ATI contributed toys for the department to gift to children in situations of home fires. Fish of Albany, a local food bank, which provides over 600 "Snacks for Packs" and clothes for children in need. And lastly, the Doernbecher Children's Hospital, where employees have focused their efforts on donating toys to replenish the hospital's store of items for patients.

The ATI Enterprise Resource Center in Pittsburgh, PA contributed, with over 50 gifts donated to children in need in the Angel Tree program. ERC employees also collected personal hygiene and bedtime items, assembling over 20 kits for the Women's Center and Shelter of Pittsburgh.

ATI Defense employee Robert Patrick and his family participate in Wreaths Across America this holiday season at Arlington National Cemetery. The organization strives to Remember, Honor, and Teach by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at 3,400 cemetery locations across the United States.

We are thankful that as a presence in many communities around the United Sates and the world, we are able to collaborate together to bring joy to those most in need of a helping hand this holiday season.
